Dr. Parisa Shoja

I am a California Board-Certified Clinical Psychologist (PSY30591) specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. I have over 12 years of experience working with children in the field of psychology and discovered my love for this discipline working as a behavioral therapist for children with autism spectrum disorders. My training and work experience has involved various settings including the UC Davis M.I.N.D Institute, outpatient clinics, schools, community mental health centers, and hospitals.

My Style

When working with kids and teens, I strive to create a space which fosters exploration, gaining insight, building problem solving skills, and developing effective coping skills. Incorporating various therapeutic techniques allows me to tailor each child's treatment to their unique strengths, challenges, and goals.

I also offer parent consultation to help parents explore ways of effectively managing challenging behaviors.
